HOW TO THINK PRODUCTIVELY WITHOUT THE STRESS OF BRAINSTORMING

Have You ever imagined a state of mind where thoughts flow in like a river?

This is also applicable to the way we think. Many think but don’t come up with practicable solutions to whatever they are thinking about. There is great difference between thinking and thinking for a change. You must understand that thinking for a change requires you to think productivity.

Then there’s this question we are to answer: How does one think productively?

It’s been said that the mind is the greatest asset given to man. What makes up an asset isn’t the fact that it lasts long or has the capacity to live long. What makes up an asset is in its usage, how well you make use of it, and the results it yields for you.

How does one think productively?

To think productively, you have to:

Debunk former Junks

Let your mind stay free from invalid thoughts and ideas. Decide intentionally on what to keep in your mind. “A healthy mind results in a healthy body”. Just as the farmer removes the weeds on the farm land, remove the weeds in your mind. You cannot think productive thoughts if your mind is filled with junk, clear the junk out first and replace it with healthy thoughts.

Cultivate Your Mind for Productivity

Cultivation is an activity that is important for farmers, in order to grow new crops. Cultivation in this regard, is an art of preparing the soil for planting. In this process, the farmer tills the ground and places the seeds in the right place and conditions so that they can grow and bear fruits. You should also be willing to create the right factors that will encourage productive thoughts in your mind. Make sure that your mind is ready to receive the right information and use it well.

Change Your Environment

For you to think productively, you need to change your environment. What’s your environment? What do you surround yourself with? For you to think productively you need to have a new mindset and to have a new mindset you will need to change certain things about your environment. You need to be in an environment and enhances productivity and not filling your space with junk that steals your time. To think productive thoughts, you may need to move away to a place where you can be alone and have clarity.

Read Good Books

The Contents you feed on will determine the kind of thoughts you think. You may be asking if reading good books is necessary, the answer is yes. If you want to think productively you must read books that activates that dimension of thinking. Most of the information you need to Increase your level of output is contained in a book, not just books but reasonable and good books. Feed Your mind with the necessary information you need, not junk. I recommend you read this book if you intend to digest necessary knowledge for Productivity – The Success Principles™ by Jack Canfield.

Practice the Art of Meditation

Meditation is far beyond religious activities. Meditation is deep thinking. To meditate for productivity you need to think on a body of ideas, you don’t just go on a journey of thoughts hunting, you should go along with your body of ideas which can be transformed to a body of actionable Ideas. What does this mean, it means that rather than focus on random thoughts, you meditate on a particular subject area where you need to be productive. When you meditation is focused you will have a better chance of getting the road map to do what you wanted to do in the first place.

These are some of the ways you need to take in order to think productively without having to spend hours brainstorming. It starts by tweaking your environment, then filling yourself with good knowledge from books and then setting out time to think deeply about what you want to do and the ideas will just flow in.
