DIARY OF A GEN Z LANDOWNER

Omo! All my mates don buy land finish o, it would be foolish of me not to buy now too. But wetin my eyes dey see ehn. Finding the right property is like finding true love in Lagos.

Let me tell you about it.

When I first decided to buy land, I thought it would be straightforward. You just call an agent, they show you the land, you pay, and boom, you're a landlord. Lol, the biggest scam of my life.

The first land I went to see, my people, it was inside a forest in one village that I'd never heard of. But I said, "Okay, maybe development will get there." That's how I asked about documents, and they said it's a family land; I just needed to pay...

I laugh in Chinese. They want to scam a whole Gen Z. Pay ko, pay ni... I ran for my life. The other lands I saw weren't any better; I was frustrated.

That's when I decided to do what I should have done from the beginning: I called one of my friends who had gotten verified land, and he connected me with YANGAWEY ASSET, where I got land with verified documents.

Everything was good until I made the mistake of posting my land on my status... Ahhhh!

I don too talk; I'll tell you the rest in my next entry.

They said buying land is simple... they lied!!

If only someone warned me about the gbas gbos I was about to face. But guess what? I still found my way, all thanks to one of my gees and YANGAWEY ASSET.

The drama didn't stop there, but let's save that gist for another day.
